The conference hotel is the CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL - PHILADELPHIA - CENTER CITY located at 18th & Market Streets. All meetings, paper sessions, Saturday luncheon and hospitality suite will be located in the conference hotel.

Note: As of Tuesday, May 8, 2007, the hotel made a few more rooms available for Wednesday night, June 6, 2007 and they have plenty of rooms available for Thursday night, June 7, 2007, Friday night, June 8, 2007, Saturday night, June 9, 2007 and a few rooms left for Sunday night, June 10, 2007.
The on-line address is www.crowneplaza.com/philadelphia-centercity and the Group Code is SIA. The conference rate of $129 (single or double) and $149 (triple or quad) is valid for June 6 through June 10 as long as your reservation is made no later than May 16, 2007.

If you need a hotel room for nights not available at the Crowne Plaza you might want to contact the Hilton Philadelphia Airport Hotel at (215)365-4150. They have reasonable rates (although we do not have any contract with them) and they also provide free shuttle service to and from the airport. You can the catch a train at the airport to downtown Philadelphia.
No rooms are available in the University of Pennsylvania dormitories as we had hoped. It is suggested that in order to reduce your hotel costs attendees consider sharing a room at the Crowne Plaza.
Valet parking is located in the garage immediately adjacent to the hotel, with the entrance on Market St. Cost is $31 per day for hotel guests with unlimited in/out privileges. Daily hourly rates will apply to attendees not staying in the hotel.
Additional Overnight Parking available for $22 per 24 hours at the new Cira Centre Garage adjacent to the 30th Street Station
Air: Philadelphia International Airport is serviced by many major air carriers.
Ground Transport: The airport is serviced by taxi, shuttle and rail. The SEPTA R-1 rail line connects the various terminals with Suburban Station, which is two blocks from the hotel. Fare is @ $5. The Lady Liberty shuttle van is $8 to the hotel and taxis cost about $26.
Train: Amtrak provides good service to Philadelphia from many cities, including Metroliner and Acela service from Washington to New York and Boston. Trains arrive at 30th Street Station, approximately 7 blocks from the hotel.

Amtrak offers a 10% discount off the lowest available rail fare to Philadelphia, PA, between the above dates. Includes travel up to three days prior to the convention, start date and three days following the last day of the meeting. Please refer to Convention Fare Code X08P-915 when making your reservation, a 10% discount has been approved. Conventions cannot be booked via Internet. This offer is not valid on Auto Train. Offer valid with Sleepers, Business Class or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges. Fare is valid on Amtrak Regional and Acela service for all departures seven days a week, except for holiday blackouts.

Automobile:
From the South: Northbound on I-95, take exit #22 onto I-676 West. Take exit marked Broad St. onto 15th St. Go South on 15th St. Turn right on JFKennedy Blvd. Turn left on 19th St. then left on Market St. Hotel and parking are on right at 18th St.
From the West: Eastbound on the PA Turnpike, I-76, take exit #326 marked Valley Forge onto I-76 East, Schuylkill Expressway (suggest avoiding this route during rush hours).
From the Northwest: Southbound on I-476, take exit #16 at West Conshohocken to I-76 East, Schuylkill Expressway (same comment as above).
Eastbound and westbound on I-76, Schuylkill Expressway, take exit #345 marked 30th St. Station and follow signs to Market St. and turn towards the center city. Hotel and parking are on right at 18th St.
